“Andy Richter Controls the Universe” coming to DVD
Great news for Andy Richter fans! Paramount has just announced that the complete series of “Andy Richter Controls the Universe” will be coming to DVD in March of 2009.
Andy spent seven years writing and co-starring on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” where he was Conan’s foil and sidekick. In 2002 he got his chance with his own series, called “Andy Richter Controls the Universe” on the Fox Network. Many people felt, critics included, that Andy’s show was one of the funniest on TV. The show built up a very loyal following and fan base, but the following wasn’t enough to keep the program on the air for more than two seasons. Only 19 episodes were made.
That loyal fan base and followers have been waiting patiently for years to get their hands on a DVD release for the program, and now they’ll be happy to know that they won’t have to wait much longer.Paramount says that the DVD collection will be released on March 24, 2009. The package will include all 19 episodes, but specific pricing information hasn’t been made available yet.
