What can I say? Seth Rogen! Seth is such a panic. “Pineapple Express” does not disappoint. Although the whole movie seems to be centered around weed smokin’ and dealin’, it is really about relationships.

Seth plays a process server and pot-head named Dale Denton who is witness a murder. The murderer turns out to be a drug supplier to Dale’s friend and dealer, named Saul, played by James Franco. Saul happens to be the only dealer in town who has a certain kind of weed called “Pineapple Express”. When Dale drops a “roach” of pineapple express at the murder scene, it is easy for the supplier to track him down because of the rarity of that roach.

The Onion News has always been one of my favorite “fake” news sites here at On DVD Movies, and I can always count on getting a chuckle or two every time I visit. Their site, a fake news offering that bills itself as “America’s Finest News Source”, is a USA Today-style parody that is chock full of humorous articles. If you’ve never been to the site before, you might want to take a moment to check it out: The Onion Web Site. Not every article at The Onion web site hits the mark, but still there’s enough there to make a visit worthwhile. And so it is with “The Onion Movie”.
