DVDs You Should Have Seen in 2008, But Didn’t
Andrew O’Hehir has written a cool article over at “Salon” entitled “DVDs you should have seen in 2008, but didn’t”. He’s put together a nice list of some really good DVD offerings that came around in 2008 but didn’t get the amount of attention they deserved. O’Hehir suggests that DVD fans (like me) make ourselves a gift of some of these really terrific DVD selections.

“Andy Richter Controls the Universe” coming to DVD
Great news for Andy Richter fans! Paramount has just announced that the complete series of “Andy Richter Controls the Universe” will be coming to DVD in March of 2009.
Andy spent seven years writing and co-starring on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” where he was Conan’s foil and sidekick. In 2002 he got his chance with his own series, called “Andy Richter Controls the Universe” on the Fox Network. Many people felt, critics included, that Andy’s show was one of the funniest on TV. The show built up a very loyal following and fan base, but the following wasn’t enough to keep the program on the air for more than two seasons. Only 19 episodes were made.
