Alright! Two things that I like… Burt Reynolds and scantily clad women! I found both of these in the movie called “Cloud 9″. Such a wonderful concept. You see, Burt plays Billy Cole, an older beach dwelling, gambling, under-achiever. He was left in the care of his friend’s son, Tenspot, played by D.L. Hughley. When Billy comes up with an idea to turn a group local strippers into a beach volleyball team, they prove that sex sells.

Billy immediately influences his friend slash employer, “Wong”, played by Paul Rodriguez, into sponsoring the team. Wong is a Mexican man disguised as an Asian man, who fades in-between a poor Asian and Mexican accent. He seems to think that more rich influential people desire an Asian nurseryman than a Mexican gardener.
They guys quickly realize that there is a lot of cash to be made by combining the girls’ natural talents with some novelty volleyball activities. After a con job goes bad, Billy sees that the girls have a true desire to become a real “team”. With the help of his stoner and ex-volleyball playing friend “Jackson”, played by Paul Wesley, that is exactly what they are gonna do. That is until one of the teams star players gets injured. Because of this another girl “Julie”, Angie Everhart, steps up to fil the spot.
Billy didn’t realize that this girl was an all conference player in college. Not only do they make the finals but they all learn an important lesson about volleyball and about themselves.
