DVDs You Should Have Seen in 2008, But Didn’t

January 14, 2009 · Filed Under The On DVD Movies News

Andrew O’Hehir has written a cool article over at “Salon” entitled “DVDs you should have seen in 2008, but didn’t”. He’s put together a nice list of some really good DVD offerings that came around in 2008 but didn’t get the amount of attention they deserved. O’Hehir suggests that DVD fans (like me) make ourselves a gift of some of these really terrific DVD selections.

Among the choices O’Hehir highlights in his article are:

Griffith Masterworks, Vol. 2
An essential collection for any classic movie fan, this is a set of films from the renowned “father of film” D. W. Griffith.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: The 20th Anniversary Edition
An absolute must-have for the MST3K fans.

Icons of Horror: Hammer Films
Four Hammer Films in this set: “The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll” (with Christopher Lee), “The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb,” “The Gorgon” (with Lee and Peter Cushing) and the psychological thriller “Scream of Fear”.

There are a lot DVD’s on the list, so I’ll leave you with a link to the article so that you can read it for yourself…
